Dear Sukunya,

Most of us want to be healthy and fit, but if we want to be successful in that endeavor, we need to find exercise options that work for us. As we get older, it becomes more important to incorporate regular exercise into our weekly routines. This winter, I began attending yoga classes.

I had long been curious about yoga, its benefits and its poses. So, when a friend of mine invited me to join her in a yoga classes, I decided that it was time for me to see what yoga and its strange poses were all about.

Well, I have to say that yoga wasn't anything like I had expected. Some of it was easier than I had anticipated, and no one in the class was asked to do something that was overtaxing or too difficult. In fact, the instructor -- obviously accustomed to working with practitioners at different levels -- had a number of alternative poses for the beginners in the event that we were less flexible and less balanced in the beginning.

On the whole, I have been extremely pleased with my classes. For starters, Sukunya, it is refreshing to open oneself up to something new and different. And the effects are invaluable. I usually feel very calm and relaxed after my class. And best of all, I have discovered that this ancient practice has much to offer the body, mind, and spirit.

Regular yoga practitioners are usually relatively flexible, have good posture, and enjoy increased stamina and good breathing capacity. Yoga also helps promote a healthy diet and positive thinking. All these benefits really set yoga apart from so many other forms of exercise and give practitioners many things to work toward. Practicing yoga regularly is really like adopting a lifestyle that can change your life for the better.

I am very comfortable with the poses in class now, but in many ways I still consider myself a beginner. But that's okay because I can see lots of room for improvement, and I like the fact that yoga can be adapted for all ages.

Sukunya, I hope you won't find my letter too pushy vis-à-vis yoga. The primary thought I wanted to pass on today is how important it is for us to exercise regularly. As the saying goes, "a healthy body makes for a healthy mind," and that is something we all can work toward.

I hope you'll take some time to review your Wealth, Health and Happiness forecast and see just what this week holds for you.

Many Blessings,

On the 18th Venus enters Cancer, when spending time with your family will be a pleasure, not a chore. The Full Moon in Sagittarius on the same day connects closely with Pluto. Any major changes or parting of the ways that occur now or in the very near future are part of your destiny and positive in the long term. You may feel a little unsettled, but just focus on your breathing and the "here and now." Late on the 20th the Sun also moves into Cancer, so enjoy the Solstice energy.
